We’ve Got Your Back 2010

 

IMPORTANT DETAILS...

  • 8:00 A.M. Race day registration and timing tag pickup begins
  • 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.  Spinal Health Fair and Kids Corner is open
  • 8:30 A.M. Opening Ceremony
  • 8:45 A.M. Group warm up
  • 9:00 A.M. 4 mile race begins (Rain or Shine)
  • 9:45 A.M. 2 mile fun walk begins (Rain or Shine)
  • 10:30 A.M. 4 mile race awards ceremony
  • Parking is available at Tyler State Park in the Earth Center for the Arts parking lot.  Please park in the designated areas of the lot to minimize congestion at the start/finish line and Spinal Health Fair.  Signs will be posted on race day to direct you to the appropriate areas.
  • In the 2 mile fun walk children 12 & under are free
  • Online registration ends on Friday, June 4 at 9pm Pacific time (Midnight Eastern)..
  • No animals (except service dogs), roller skates, bicycles, scooters and skateboards are allowed.
  • To order event brochures for your team members, office or to help distribute them in your area, email us and include your name, mailing address and quantity requested.  
  • This year we continue our fundraising component called “Support The Spine.”  We are reaching out to you to help us in our mission to improve spinal health.  Participant fundraising is critical to our success and the most direct way to impact our cause.  We challenge all participants to set a goal of raising $100 or more.  Once you have registered, send email message asking your friends, family members, neighbors and co-workers to sponsor you.  Check with your employer to see if they have a gift matching program.  Participants who raise $100 or more will be eligible for a prize. Click here to download helpful tools and tips to assist you in fundraising (you do not have to fundraise to participate).

 

Where do I park?

Parking is available at Tyler State Park in the Earth Center for the Arts parking lot.  Please park in the designated areas of the lot to minimize congestion at the start/finish line and Spinal Health Fair.  Signs will be posted on race day to direct you to the appropriate areas.

 

What time does the event start?

The Spinal Health Fair begins at 8:00 A.M.  Opening ceremonies begin at 8:30 A.M.  The race will start promptly at 9:00 A.M.  The walk will start at 9:45 A.M.

 

When can I pick up my prizes?

You can pick up your prizes at packet pickup on Friday, June 4 from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm, located at

 Prizes will not be available for pickup on race day.   Prizes that are not picked up will be mailed to the participant’s home via US Mail from July 1 through July 20.

 

Are strollers and wheelchairs allowed?

Yes, strollers and wheelchairs will be allowed on the Race/Walk route.  

 

Can I bring my pet?

Sorry, but animals (except service dogs) are not allowed.

 

Can I use a skateboard or other vehicle?

Sorry, roller skates, bicycles, scooters and skateboards are not allowed.

 

Do I need to fundraise to participate in the Race/Walk?

No, however you will need to pay an entry fee to participate in the event.  In the 2 mile fun walk children 12 & under are free.

Entry Fees are:
$20 – Early Registration:  On or before May 15th
$25 – Late Registration:  May 15th to June 4th
$30 – Race Day Registration: On June 6th

What is the age limit for children to walk for free?

In the 2 mile fun walk children 12 & under are free.  

Please note: To participate in the 4 mile race children 18 and under must pay an entry fee.  In addition, a registration form must be filled out and signed by a parent or guardian.

 

Can I collect sponsorship/fundraising money in cash or checks?

Yes. DO NOT MAIL CASH. Cash & checks can be dropped off with your “Support The Spine” form at either of the sites below. Checks can be mailed with your “Support The Spine” form to the Spinal Research Foundation, We’ve Got Your Back, PO Box 1264, Newtown, PA 18940
