SRF Medical Research Sciences Award

This prestigious award is presented annually to a pre-medical or medical student with high educational goals. The SRF Medical Research Sciences Award ensures that SRF nurtures the next generation of spine experts to champion the cause of spinal healthcare.

The 2009 SRF Medical Research Sciences Award was awarded to William J. Kemp, III. During the summer of 2009 his work resulted in the publication of an informational article about obesity and spinal disease and in the preparation of manuscript regarding the outcomes of instrumentation removal in fusion patients.
